School Program

Rancho Cucamonga had a “Water Awareness Day” where students learned about the importance of water and their role as conservators of our natural resources. It had poured the day before and Shelley the coordinator thought it might rain but the clouds parted just in time to have a gorgeous day for the event.
My program, “Snail Girl Brings Water” is a great story and discussion of how Native Americans took care of their environment and how Navajos (my people) who are a desert people honored the rain spirits and used rain symbols to call the rain.
